History & Lore
The Meyer Spruce is named after a previous collect of the Department of Agriculture, Frank Meyer. This spruce is native to Nei Mongol in northeast Gansu on the border of China and Mongolia. Later, on a seed collecting trip to China, Meyer passed away.
